MULTI-AGE GROUPING 2ND YEAR
Sessional 4 year old kinder- 15 hours total each week, max 3.5 hours of Bush Kinder on Wednesday afternoons.
- The children are allocated into either Wattle or Banksia groups.
- At Gembrook preschool we implement a play based curriculum underpinned by the practice principles and learning outcomes of the VEYLF.
- We program for both indoor and outdoor based on the interests, developmental strengths and needs of the group.
- We facilitate large and small group experiences with the children.
- Our meal times consist of a progressive snack and a shared group lunchtime each day.
- Each child has an individual learning plan that is compiled collaboratively between the child, family and educators.
The 2nd Year program includes fortnightly Bush Kinder sessions at Gilwell Scout Camp during Terms 2, 3 and 4.
This is an opportunity for the children to connect and engage with their natural environment.
2nd year orientation program
During the school holiday period we will send out a package of information including letters and photographs to support your family familiarizing with Gembrook Preschool and getting to know the 2nd Years Teaching Team. We will advise you about our on-site Orientation for incoming children and families in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines.
