Before and After Care

Gembrook Preschool partners with OSHClub at Gembrook Primary School to offer wrap-around care for children aged 4 and over who attend the preschool. This service provides both before and after care options on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, ensuring that families have opportunities to access flexible childcare support. On Wednesday mornings, second-year preschool children can attend a morning care service until their session begins, offering additional support to families.

To facilitate this care, Gembrook Preschool arranges bus transfers for children to and from OSHClub, ensuring safe, supervised transitions. The preschool utilises Berwick Buslines and the Cardinia Shire Community Bus, with a Gembrook Preschool educator accompanying the children during all transfers. This procedure provides peace of mind for parents, knowing that their children are under the supervision of familiar and trusted staff during their commute.

This before and after preschool service was introduced by the Committee of Management in response to feedback from the community and aims to support families who are enrolled in sessional kindergarten. By offering this flexible childcare option, Gembrook Preschool is making it easier for parents to balance their schedules while ensuring their children have access to high quality preschool and wrap around care throughout the week.
